The Gemmological Institute of America (GIA) is offering more than 125 scholarships worth over $500,000 for the institute’s gemmology and jewellery manufacturing arts programs, courses and lab classes. Scholarship awards will range from $500 to $22,000.
The GIA has awarded more than $3.5 million in scholarships to over 1,000 students since 2013. Scholarships are funded by the GIA Endowment fund and private donors.
The gem and jewellery industry is vibrant, global and diverse, and co to use to evolve. By giving a financial boost to those seeking a gem or jewellery education, we can help usher in the next wave of young jewellery talent and trained professionals. The GIA has educated over 365,000 professionals worldwide.
Scholarships are available for distance ‘eLearning’ courses and for classes at GIA’s campuses in London, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Dubai, New York and Taiwan. Applications open March 1, 2016.
